Christmas Soiree 2009

This year the Association of Professional Translators has celebrated Christmas as usual, but with special features added. For the first time Santa Claus came to greet us. The celebration started with beautiful carols performed by children from Hyperion lyceum from Durlesti and all of us present at the event joined their cheerful voices. Inspired by Jesus all participants took to hanging sayings from a Christmas tree that fitted perfectly each of them! The children’s dances from Durlesti became a key moment in the whole celebration. But the participants did not join them and enjoyed the performance only as spectators. What a pity that many colleagues missed this soulful experience!

This year the Association of Professional Translators celerated Christmas on December 26th, 2009. It was celebrated as usual, but with special features added.

For the first time children were the center of attention: our colleagues’ children and our guests from Hyperion lyceum from Durlesti.

For the first time Santa Claus came to greet us.

Let us take a step-by-step tour through the Christmas celebration. The place was provided by our colleague Lidia Cazacu, an Italian teacher at the State University: an auditorium was transformed into a place for celebration. All of those present contributed to the celebration. Natalia Conovca prepared some inspired sayings that were hanged on an improvised Christmas tree.  How well the sayings fit everybody!  They clearly came from Jesus.

The celebration started with beautiful carols performed by children from Hyperion lyceum from Durlesti conducted by Elena Genunchi. All of us present at the event joined their cheerful voices. But when it came time for dances, we gave up.  We gave way to these wonderful children that performed great. And Santa Claus came on time and thanked them.

Also, our colleagues’ daughters (Elisaveta, Anghelina, Marina, Vlada) performed as real princesses. This year there were no princes, but they will surely come next year. We hope that the number of our colleagues will increase next year. It is a pity to miss such beautiful events.
