This year the Council of Association chose the day of 3rd of October to mark the International Translator's day, which is usually celebrated annually on 30th of September, as they wished the event to fall on a weekend and to be outdoors.
Autumn is behind the corner, reminding us that Translation Day celebration is approaching soon. Since autumn is the season of the harvest, we propose to spend nice time together in the open air, to enjoy each other’s company, to share in good thoughts, to savor tasty dishes and, of course, to celebrate International Translation Day.
Traditionally, on September 30th we celebrate International Translation Day. On this occasion we pay homage to those who have the courage, perseverance, creativity, passion and love for translation and interpreting.
Every year brings with it baggage filled with spiritual and material values individually perceived by each of us. They are not gradually divided throughout the year. At the beginning of each year we do not exactly know what waits for us or what we expect, but once it is gone we are used to taking a little time to sit in front of an imaginary fireplace, watch the fire and reflect on things we did. We express our joy due to the fact that ATP has broadened its ranks.
The ATP Board considered December 28th, the date after Christmas and before New Years, as the optimal time for ATP Moldova members’ gathering to celebrate winter holidays. The number of participants was as usual, about 15 people. It was not so bad taking into account that some of our colleagues went to the countryside to celebrate winter holidays with their families, and others were very busy with chores that are usual for this time of year.
