Training Course for Moldovan Translators. 6th Edition

Following tradition, the School of Professional Translators opens its doors to all enthusiastsoftranslations and interpretations and invites interested persons to register for the 6th editionof the Training Course, which will be held November 30 - December 18, 2015.

Eligible persons
All those who have already practiced translation and interpretation and would like to improve their skills; students of language or translation departmentswho would like to make a career as translators and/or interpreters; all those passionate about languages and translations.

Reasons to participate
In the 21st century all aspects of our lives are changing continuously and becoming more competitive. This acceleration and technology development affects the job of translators and interpreters: in an increasingly competitive market only those willing to invest time and effort in their self-improvement will withstand the competition. In this regard, the School of Professional Translators comes with an offer  toimproveprofessional skills and increase performance in translation and interpretation.

Event format
The Training Classis scheduled for a total duration of 70 academic hours, organized Mondays - Fridays, November 30 - December 18, 2015.

The training course is divided into three modules: "Particularities of written translation", "Particularities of consecutive translation"and "Particularities of simultaneoustranslation".

Attending the courses you will benefit from:

• Examples and practical advice from the experience of renowned translators, acting in the translation/interpretation market of Moldova;
• Modules delivered byvisitinglecturers;
• Content adapted to national realities;
• Know-how in the field of translation;
• Development of practical skills, in particular,the opportunity to work with the latest version of  translationsoftware MemoQ Server
• Practical exercises on consecutive translation
• Opportunityto work in simultaneous translation booth

Additionally, at the end of training,the participants will:

• participate in a social event with APT members;
• obtaina Certificate of Participation;
• be involved in the Contacts Network;
• be able to apply forATP membership.

Needed investments:

• Time: December (30.11.- 04.12.2015, 7-11.12.2015, 14-18.12.2015), 5 days per week: Monday - Friday, 18:00 -21: 30 p.m.
• Financial Resources: 1800 lei (full cost of the Training Course).

The cost per module: Module 1 = 700 lei, Module 2= 700 lei, Module 3 = 800 lei. The participation fee includes participation in the event, snacks during tea /coffeebreaks, materials, Certificate of Participation and the social event.

After November 23, 2015, it will only be possible to register for one or two of the remaining modules.

Persons who register in the course and pay off the fee before 15 November 2015, will benefit from  a 15% discount.
