Teamworking

ATP Moldova’s recent work has proven again how beneficial working side by side with trusted colleagues is. It come from the translation of the UNDP Moldova Human Development Report for 2009-2010 made by our colleagues Elena Bivol, Svetlana Chiriţa and Eleonora Rusnac. They admit that it was worth being involved in this translation project as they learnt a lot from it: concise and accurate style usage; simple language usage, understandable to the general public; rich vocabulary usage and repetition avoidance; familiarity with different formatting requirements; adjustment and unification of styles and terms.

Please, ATTENTION, ATP Moldova partners! Do not hesitate to contact the ATP Moldova translators’ team. You will benefit from collaboration with professional translators that are appreciated by many international institutions.

As mentioned above, it is very important to work in teams. ATP Moldova’s recent work has proven again how beneficial working side by side with trusted colleagues is.

It comes from the translation of the UNDP Moldova Human Development Report for 2009-2010 made by our colleagues Elena Bivol, Svetlana Chiriţa and Eleonora Rusnac.

We admit that it was really a hard job due to a large number of terms from different domains such as ecology, economics, agriculture, social domain, etc. and texts of a technical nature. The translators were required to be very accurate and attentive; to follow certain formatting requirements was the most difficult. After the Report has been released, we are proud to say that we handled the challenges and tight deadlines.

Thinking of efforts made we admit that it was worth being involved in this translation project. The following things we have learnt from it:

  • concise and accurate style usage;
  • simple language usage, understandable to the general public;
  • rich vocabulary usage and repetition avoidance;
  • familiarity with different formatting requirements;
  • adjustment and unification of styles and terms.

We highly appreciate Veaceslav Musteaţă assistance with unification terms. Veaceslav has patience and knowledge needed to unify translations made by different people and to integrate them into one. I invite you to read the Report that is read as a unified work.

The Association of Professional Translators of Moldova highly appreciates the fairness of UNDP Moldova: the names of translators are indicated together with the names of authors of the Human Development Report for 2009-2010.
